High School and University
July 1980: Marco Foscarini High School, Venice, Classical High School Diploma.
July 1985: Faculty of Economics of the University of Venice, Cà Foscari, a four-year degree in Business Administration.
Computer Science
Current Word and Excel use with VBA to create automatic quote applications, business plans, and capital budgeting.
I know HTML and CSS. I started using WordPress.
I’m studying WordPress, JQuery, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and SQL.
Internet – I browse daily. I don’t frequent Social Media.
Languages & Travels
English. – I read the English of university textbooks and not at the same speed as those in Italian.
Not practicing the language, however, I do not listen, speak, and write as well as I read.
I have attended the following courses.
from 04/01/1993 to 12/02/1993 6-week English-American course with EF School of English at Florida International University in Miami (TOEFL 597 in 01/1993);
from 29/10/2012 to 23/11/2012 intensive English course (120 hours) at Arena School of English in Dublin, current level assessment: Lower Advanced (C1).
Travels. – I have traveled several times in English-speaking countries for tourism (UK, Ireland, USA 48, Australia, New Zealand, Western Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Belize, Indonesia) and work (Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia).
Spanish language. – I read novels in Spanish and understand it sufficiently.
I attended a Spanish course from 27/10/1997 to 07/11/1997 at EF Escuela International de Español in Barcelona.
Travels. – I have traveled several times to Spanish speaking countries for tourism (Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile) and work (Spain).
Travels. – I have also traveled for tourism and business in countries where neither English nor Spanish is spoken.

Italian Navy Officer
April 1986 – September 1987. Military Service: Complementary Officer of the Italian Navy.
Consultant
July 1988 – December 1993. Zanin Ciro’s Consulting Firm – Consultancy as alter ego of the entrepreneur of the then Sossai/Somec Group (today www.somecgroup.com ), at that time active in the field of building cladding and naval envelope, with the exclusion of the Commercial and Production areas, with the tasks of:
contribute to define the strategies, the corporate structure, and the organization of the entrepreneurial activity;
managing corporate administration and finance, in particular, Financial Statements, Analytical Accounting, Financial Accounting, relationships with Banks, Insurance Companies, Inland Revenue, Notary Firms, Lawyers, Accountants, Patent Firms;
support the commercial area with the preparation of the most important contracts (several billion lire) and automatic budgeting,
select and manage staff career paths in the Administration and Design & Development areas;
introduce Information Technology (IT) in design and related functions (Purchasing, Warehousing, Production, building yards Management).

Natural Spaces (AE) since 1995: ponds, woodlands, hedges, and meadows;
Cultivated Spaces both with high technology and according to organic farming methods (AE) since 1994: hydroponic greenhouse vegetables, floating system leaf vegetables, open field vegetables, vineyards, pears, stone fruit, walnut, edible forest gardening, perennial plants, medicinal plants, industrial crops (sugar beet, soft and durum wheat, sunflower, corn, barley, rape, and soybeans);
Breeding of ungulates (AE) since 1998: donkeys, horses, buffaloes, wild boars, pigs, deer, goats, mouflons, sheep;
Breeding of birds (AE) between 1998 and 2002 capons in a fenced area of the pear orchard; since 2017 geese, since 2018 Indian running ducks and chickens;
Agro-mechanical services for third farms (AE) since 2010;
Agritouristic accommodation (AF) since 1997;
Agritouristic Restaurant certified for five years ISO 2000 and UNI 10854 (AF) since 1998, suspended since 2019;
Educational Farm for children and adults (EF) since 2002;
System integrator for the construction of photovoltaic systems on the farm (AE) between 2009 and 2011;

January 2019 – and for a long time yet. Start-up of the Five Ways Farm Project, a project of entrepreneurial, personal, social, and environmental development, based on Five Ways: Nature, Health, Friendship, Knowledge, and Sustainability.
SPORTS & HOBBIES
I have practiced the following sports in contact with nature: Ski Alpinism, Mountaineering, Scuba Diving, Venetian Style Rowing.
Now and then, I do some outings of Canyoning, run in the countryside or walk in the mountains.
Since 2016 I practise Pilates.
In 2018 I started Yoga, but then I stopped almost immediately for lack of time. Since November 2019, I have resumed practicing Yoga twice a week.
I practiced, for a short time, Sailing and Kayaking.
I took my parachuting license, and then I quit; once, with a paraglider, I jumped by myself from Mount Dolada to Santa Croce Lake, a jump of 800 m.
I like it very much:
studying (chemistry, biology, ecology, environment-farming-food-health),
traveling in places that are not crowded and are very rich in biodiversity,
getting to know plants and their uses,
singing Bob Dylan’s songs while accompanying me on guitar (among the sufferings of those who by education remain to listen to me!), and
staying in good company.
I am passionate, from time to time, to make wild ferments, no inoculant added.
